About Us

 

We are a friendly independent yarn shop based in the historic market town of Ware in Hertfordshire.

 Brigid opened the shop in 2017 with a vision of bringing a fabulous range of yarns to suit all tastes and budgets to Ware. She quickly established Crates of Wool as the creative hub of the town. An avid crocheter and knitter, Brigid inspired us with her innovative projects and great use of colour. Deb joined her in 2018 and brought hand-dyed yarn and knitting lessons into the mix. Deb soon became the person you brought your knitting conundrums to.  Although Brigid is no longer part of the team, we still offer the same mix of yarn and expertise you have come to love.

Come to us for those wonderful yarns as well as haberdashery, knitting and crochet tools, project kits and embroidery cotton.
