Simple Stranded Colourwork Workshop - 3rd June 2019
Stranded Colourwork - often called Fair Isle - knitting makes a beautiful, warm fabric using two or more colours. In this workshop we will practice using some traditional Fair Isle patterns (worked flat, not in the round) and will cover:
- selecting colours for successful colourwork
- managing your yarn & maintaining good tension
- catching floats
- colour dominance
This is a 2-hour workshop, running on Monday 3rd June, 2019 from
7 - 9 pm. Held in our friendly shop at 8A East Street, Ware, Herts SG12 9HJ.
You bring: 4mm needles
We supply: yarns, tea and coffee
Experience required: confidence in knitting basics: casting on, knit and purl stitches. Familiarity with working with charts would be helpful, but not essential.
