Knitting Workshop - Knitting with Beads - 20th May 2019
Beads are a great addition to knitted fabric. They can be subtle - only revealing themselves with movement or with changing light. Or they can be loud and proud. Either way, they give an added dimension to your work giving them weight as well as decoration.
In this workshop we will try 3 different methods of adding beads to your work:
- applying beads with a crochet hook
- applying beads with dental floss
- stringing beads
We will provide yarn, beads and the floss. You should bring some 5mm needles.
Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate - you will already know how to cast on, cast off and knit and purl stitches as well as simple lace stitches such as YO, K2tog, SSK, CDD.
The workshop will run from 7pm to 9pm in our shop at 8A East Street, Ware, SG12 9HJ. Tea and coffee will be available.
Tutor: Deb Cunningham of Crates of Wool.
