Weave a Wallhanging Workshop - Weds 6th October 2021
This wall hanging workshop is designed to give learners the opportunity to get creative and learn new weaving techniques, incorporating different materials into their unique wall hanging, to create varying patterns and textures into their weave.
This will include-
- Recapping on weaving terms –warp, weft, plain/tabby weave, arcing the weft and setting up the warp
- Apply a fringe using rya knot technique
- Learning weaving techniques - basket weave and
- Incorporate a variety of materials including paper yarn and roving
- Applying a finishing off technique to hang weaving on a dowel with hanger
Suitable for- All adults with reasonable hand dexterity. Ideally for those who have completed our mug rug course but can accommodate new learners too

Materials and refreshment also provided.
The class runs from 10am to 1pm and is held at our shop at 8a East Street, Ware, Herts, SG12 9HJ.
The Small Print:
We need a minimum of 4 course attendees to make the course fun for you and worthwhile for us. If less than 4 people have booked this workshop a week beforehand, we will cancel that date and reschedule.
We are setting up these workshops in the hope and expectation that there will be no restrictions on meeting indoors. In the event that Covid-19 restrictions are in place, we will reschedule the workshop. At all times we will comply with government guidelines for your safety and ours.
