Fancy A KnitAlong?
Isn't it wonderful that knitting now has it's own show on mainstream tv? Yes, I'm talking about Game of Wool that started on Channel 4 on Sunday 2nd November.
In week 1 they kicked off with a chunky tank top - and this inspired us to start our own knitalong. We're going to use this fabulous Stylecraft pattern as our starting point:
We'll kick off the KnitAlong on Saturday 22nd November at 10:30am and will spend a happy 2 hours planning our projects and getting started. We'll provide the pattern and a design grid for those of you who want to try putting your own design onto the garment. You bring needles (9mm and 10mm) and yarn if you have it. Of course we'd love you to buy both from us! Cost - £15 to cover pattern, some sample yarn and our expertise.
Can't knit yet? No problem. We'll have a workshop on Saturday 15th November at 10:30 to teach you to cast on, knit and purl - in other words, everything you'll need to start your tank top.
Once we've launched, we'll meet on Saturday afternoons in the shop at our normal price for a drop-in session of £4 (includes a cuppa) and we'll continue until Christmas, when hopefully we can have a little fashion parade!
