Yes, we are holding a quick competition with prizes and everything!

We would like you to make a Christmas tree to go in our shop window.  It must be handmade and it must be mainly green, but otherwise, your imagination is the only limit.  

Our next project in our Thursday morning Crochet Alongs is designed by Rosina Plane.  Inspired by her childhood memories of embroidery, she has created two beautiful blankets inspired by traditional cross-stitch samplers, both in overlay Mosaic Crochet.

The Mile Cross blanket is worked from the centre out - so there are less ends to deal with - whereas the Lakenham is worked in the more traditional rows. 

It's almost a year since we started the "Coronation Keepsake Blanket Crochet Along" and the group is still going strong.  Since that first blanket we have worked on the King Cole "Rooms with a View" project followed by West Yorkshire Spinners' "Lapland Blanket".

Now we are embarking on "Fruit Garden" by Jane Crowfoot (free pattern on the Stylecraft website).

Two of our favourite suppliers have come up with some fabulous ideas this month.

Stylecraft are highlighting a fabulous Crochet throw, while King Cole have been publishing some resources for new knitters.

If you've been in the shop lately, you'll have seen this stunning wall hanging made by Brigid. It's a glorious celebration of colour and brightens up our day.
