New Charity Project

We know how keen people in our community are to help others in need.  In the past we have made blankets for Alzheimer's patients, teddy bears for the Buddy Bag Foundation and many more beautiful things.  We have now teamed up with Project Linus UK to provide knitted and crocheted blankets for children in need around the UK.

We have chosen one knitted and one crocheted patch and a colour scheme for the finished blankets.  You can help!
  • Buy a ball of yarn, choose one of our patterns below, then make up some patches for us. (We're using Stylecraft Special DK in Cream, Storm Blue and Meadow).
  • Use one of the patterns below to make up some patches with your own yarn, then bring them to us.
  • Help us to make up the patches into blankets (last Friday of every month - 10am - 12pm)

All blankets made will be donated to Project Linus.  Your efforts will make a huge difference to children who need a little comfort and to know someone cares.

Warm and Cosy Arans

We love aran-weight yarns: they are usually soft and squishy, with more of a bounce than DKs. They work up quickly and produce a fabric that is warm and cosy without being too heavy.  So we've been inspired to share some of our selection of aran-weight yarns and a couple of projects that might inspire you too.
