Our Next Crochet-Along Project - Mile Cross and Lavenham Blankets

Our Thursday morning Crochet Along group is a popular and chatty group where we all work on our crochet - most of us tackling the same project - so there's lots of help and encouragement for each other.  We are all drawing to the end of our Fruit Garden blankets (see our February post) and so when this new Crochet Along by Stylecraft was announced we got excited!

This next project is designed by Rosina Plane, inspired by her childhood memories of embroidery, She has created two beautiful blankets inspired by traditional cross-stitch samplers, both in overlay Mosaic Crochet.

The Mile Cross blanket is worked from the centre out - so there are less ends to deal with - whereas the Lakenham is worked in the more traditional rows. 

Stylecraft's Crochet Along for Mile Cross will run from 13th
September to 11th October and for Lakenham from 18th October to 29th November, but ours will start for both blankets on 19th September and will run until we finish!

We have yarn packs for Mile Cross in store now and will have Lavenham yarn packs very soon.

The Crochet Along group meets every Thursday from 10:30am to 12:30pm.  Cost is £3 to cover tea and coffee and heating.  There's just one rule: you have to work on crochet (we have general Craft and Chatters on Fridays - see our home page).  We'd love to have you join us.
