River Lea Rambles Hat Pattern

£3.00

Those of us lucky enough to live within reach of the River Lea in Hertfordshire can enjoy a ramble along its banks. This pretty river is full of variety and twists and turns: one minute you are walking through woods, another you have a long view over the marshes or farmland. A hat like this one will keep you warm and snug on your walks and the twists and turns of its cables will keep you entertained as you knit.

This hat looks more complicated than it is. It uses standard cables and 2 x 2 rib – just work one row at a time and you will soon have your own hat full of meandering cables.

This pattern is suitable for an intermediate knitter. The hat is worked flat and seamed. Instructions are given in both written and charted forms.

This hat is part of the Crates of Wool Hats Off in 2020 event. For the month of June 2020 the pattern is half-price with the coupon code "RAMBLE".

On purchase you will receive one printed copy of the pattern. If you prefer a digital download, please visit Ravelry.com.

To make a hat requires 2 balls of Mondial Merino Sport or equivalent DK yarn, 3.25mm and 4mm knitting needles.
