Knitting Workshop - Finishing Techniques - Thursday 24th October (afternoon)
You've finished the knitting but now you want to give your article a truly polished finish to really show off your work at its best.
In this workshop we will look at:
- Weaving in ends,
- Seaming (with backstitch and mattress stitch)
- Picking up stitches
- Blocking
- address any questions you have about making up garments
Experience required: you will already know how to cast on and cast off, knit and purl stitches.
Please bring along 4 small squares knitted in stocking stitch and 2 in garter stitch (we'll be using these to practice seaming). Feel free to also bring along any pieces you wish to finish. Tea and Coffee will be provided.
This workshop is held in our friendly shop at 8A East Street, Ware, Herts, SG12 9HJ from 2 - 4:30 pm.
