Hats Off for July and August

Our July hat is Ware Gazebos:

Inspired by those lovely little summerhouses along the River Lea at Ware, you can make this cosy hat using stranded colourwork 

For August we present Different Drum:

This hat is worked sideways in garter stitch using short rows / wrap and turn to create the shaping.  There's an explanation of the technique in the pattern - which is great to create all sorts of shaping in your garments.  

The variegated version uses Hayfield Bonus Breeze DK, while the two-colour version uses Stylecraft Life DK.

Both hat patterns are available for £1.50 until the end of August.
