Different Drum Hat Pattern

This hat is knitted sideways, with the crown shaping formed by short rows / wrap and turn.  The pattern includes full instructions for this technique. Worked flat, this hat is suitable for an adventurous beginner.

A versatile hat, you could work each section in a different colour - or go wild and change colour often. We finished our hats with a little icord "stalk" but you could omit this, or add a pompom.

The variegated version used one ball of Hayfield Bonus Breeze DK in Blazer.  The two-coloured version used Stylecraft Life DK in Cascade and Denim (one ball of each colour will make at least 2 hats).
